I have a very small kitchen and Michael from Brisbane Kitchens was able to provide several options that I really had not considered possible for our kitchen. Michael completely understood what I was trying to achieve with the kitchen space and was able to practically expand on my ideas – and explain what would not be possible, in the nicest way. He patiently responded to my many questions and was so helpful in appliance suggestions that would work best for the kitchen. Michael went out of his way to achieve the best outcome for my kitchen from sourcing and working with suppliers to obtain a simple cabinet clasp that would work for my upper cabinets to bringing a sample of a new colour just released that he thought would work better than the original contrast colour selected. The end result is a fantastic, so much better functioning kitchen. It is hard to believe how much space I now seem to have compared to the original kitchen. Michael was always available to communicate with throughout the whole renovation process and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely recommend Brisbane Kitchens for anyone considering an upgrade to their kitchen.
Our kitchen project was not the typical cut & replace, as our Queenslander afforded us the opportunity to increase the size of the kitchen space. Michael was engaged before our extension was started, his vision of the new space allowed us an insight into how the new kitchen would be used practically on a day to day basis. The value of this should not be underestimated given the transformation we were considering. Seemingly simple things to us now, the correct placement of all the services & major appliances required a major thought process to get right. The result of almost 3 months of renovation is astounding, the huge space that we have makes entertaining in the kitchen a breeze and the granite that we spent 8hrs getting into the house is just fabulous. Michael is easy to work with & made the whole process very straightforward.
I am happy to recommend Michael Orr and Brisbane Kitchens to anyone thinking of designing or renovating a kitchen. Michael was prompt to appointments, listened really well to any concerns or suggestions, and answered my questions patiently. I called several of his past clients and received only glowing reports which were confirmed in my experience with Michael as well. I gave Michael a couple of challenges and he surpassed my expectations. He designed a door for my microwave opening different from the norm but that works beautifully for us. He listened to my suggestion to alter the counter heights for specific use and we were both delighted with this adjustment. Michael’s attention to detail was exceptional. A small cupboard near the refrigerator had to be included for the refirgerator door opening and Michael had the foresight to make the shelves of different depths which makes for excellent storage and his suggestions for our pantry were inspiring. His suggestion that we leave the handles off the cupboards above the range makes the kitchen look clean and sleek. One would expect that after a period of time there would be some regrets or “change wishes” for any project of this complexity. However, we are delighted every day with our kitchen and can’t think of any thing we would change because Michael put so much effort into the attention to detail before we built. We are happy to give him the highest recommendation.
